FCC Construcción shares its expertise in the design and construction of urban transport infrastructure

FCC Construcción took part in a meeting in New York with the Minister for Transport and Sustainable Mobility, the Commissioner of the New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT), and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA).

FCC Construcción has highlighted its international expertise in the design and construction of urban transport infrastructure.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority manages an annual budget of 21,300 million dollars and highlights public transport as a key element for the day-to-day functioning of cities, access to employment and services, territorial cohesion and the competitiveness of metropolitan economies. The New York City Department of Transportation is responsible for road infrastructure planning, traffic management and the city’s urban public spaces. The authority manages over 10,000 kilometres of streets and roads, more than 19,000 kilometres of pavements, around 800 bridges and tunnels, and over 13,000 traffic-light-controlled junctions, as well as the Staten Island Ferry.

The meeting was attended by the Minister for Transport and Sustainable Mobility, as well as companies such as Ferrovial, Dragados, JP Morgan, Elecnor, FCC and Exeter Finance, which shared their experiences and business opportunities in the country.
