FCC Construcción takes part in the conference “IESE Infrastructure: Operating Better Today, Preparing for Tomorrow”

FCC Construcción took part in the conference “IESE Infrastructure. Operating better today. Preparing for tomorrow”. The event, organised in collaboration with the Madrid Branch of the Spanish Association of Civil Engineers and IESE Business School, brought together key industry leaders to discuss strategic challenges, the energy transition and digital transformation.

FCC Construcción was represented by Yago Mijangos, Director for the Middle East, Australia and Western Europe, who spoke on the expert panel dedicated to “Critical Services: Water and Energy”. During his speech, he highlighted the need to integrate climate resilience and circular economy criteria into the design of new infrastructure to ensure its long-term viability. He also emphasised that to “prepare for tomorrow”, it is essential to strengthen public-private partnership frameworks that enable the necessary modernisation of transport and energy networks in Spain to be financed.

“Infrastructure is an essential pillar for the country’s competitiveness and social cohesion. At FCC Construcción, we do not just build structures; we design solutions that respond to climate pressures and new public demands, integrating cutting-edge technology to operate with maximum reliability from day one”, said Yago Mijangos during the debate.

The conference concluded with the consensus that Spain is in a “decade of decisions”, where the ability of companies such as FCC Construcción to deliver smart and sustainable projects will be decisive for European well-being and competitiveness.
