FCC Construcción, together with COMSA, is making progress on the Trambesòs urban development works in Barcelona. The Trambesòs T4 line is once again running normally between Verdaguer and Sant Adrià de Besòs, via Glòries, following progress made on the urban development works and the widening of the tram tracks on Barcelona’s Gran Via.

The project involves replacing the existing single track with a new double-track platform, which will increase the network’s capacity and will also be shared with buses. During July and August, the works necessitated temporary service disruptions to enable progress on a key phase of the project.

With the full restoration of the T4 route, these service disruptions are now limited to the section of the T5 and T6 lines between Glòries and Sant Martí de Provençals.

This progress marks a new milestone in a project aimed at improving the city’s tram infrastructure and contributing to more sustainable, efficient and connected mobility.
